Please read the following description mindfully, and if there is anything unclear or anything more you need to know, write us a message so we can schedule a consultation. It is important to be aware of what a ‘dieta’ is before signing up.
A ‘Master Plant Dieta’ or ‘plant diet’ is best described as a transformational process of becoming so clear that one can listen to the plant being dieted and have greater access to it’s healing capacities. It is a kind of shamanic vipassana (silent meditation) that enables contact with the spirits of healing plants. This grants a better understanding of: oneself, the roots of trauma, and the pathway to clear up what is blocking you from moving forward in your life more aware and healthy.
Our retreat is an intimate master plant dieta structured in a traditional style of the indigenous Ashaninka tribe of Peru. It is seen as a spiritual practice as much as it is viewed as a healing or treatment of physical ailments. The plants will allow your inner healer to come forth to resolve what causes you suffering.
This holistic transformation process consists of :
- 8 days of dieta with master plants
- Master plant chosen according to your intentions and issues
- Partial isolation is an option
- 4 ceremonies with locally prepared Ayahuasca made from only three ingredients:
- Water from the boiling river
- Ayahuasca vine from the Peruvian Amazon
- Chacruna leaf from local team members
- Private consultations with indigenous teachers
- Private integration sessions with peer facilitators
- Integration and community activities throughout the retreat
An Ayahuasca retreat in Peru, combined with a master plant dieta is a serious commitment and could be seen as a type of wellbeing or spiritual pilgrimage. You will be tested by your own constraints because that is the way of the jungle.
Our approach to valuing Ayahuasca
The value of having a relationship with an Ayahuasca practice is immeasurable, like that of a relationship with your greatest teacher or mentor. Just like you can not quantify feelings like love, joy, or sadness, nor can we define the importance of health and family. Some things just are. Therefore, we do not charge to sit in an ayahuasca ceremony or sell the medicine. We see limitations in a consumer mindset with outcome driven expectation. This often becomes an obstacle to building meaningful relationship with the plants and oneself. We aspire to transcend these restrictions of consumerism that keeps us enslaved in expectation.
Our main goal is to provide a deep, safe, and transforming experience with Ayahuasca, the other plant teachers, and the Amazon rainforest itself. The price of our retreats cover:
- Time and effort of our organizers to create such a supportive and safe environment with the purpose of long-term benefits for the guests.
- Access to special locations with guides who have been practicing decades and are open to sharing their wisdom.
- Educational and sustainability projects for greater access to all who are in need of this precious resource.
Thanks to your trust, we can support the maintenance of a living tradition of working with plant medicine. The medicine itself remains free for all. We treat is as an alive, sentient, and beautiful being. Gathering and growing, preparing, and cooking it is as important as the ceremony itself. We are trying to give back to nature and re-plant these special species in the forest. Our work is to serve it and to serve you.
Our focus and best effects so far are working with issues such as navigating life transitions or major life events, chronic depression, lack of clarity and purpose in life, compulsive habits and addictions, ADHD behavior and diagnosis, anxiety and excessive control, and emotional blockages. Ayahuasca and other plants prove effective for a range of physical ailments because body distress is often tied into the mind’s distress. It is best to contact us before to discuss the realistic potential options for your healing because these medicines are also not to be seen as ‘miracle fixes’, work and dedication is always required.
Use of ayahuasca during the master plant dieta retreat
Ayahuasca is often used in the Amazon in conjunction with master plant dietas. For those of us coming from outside the culture, oftentimes Ayahuasca is the focus when we travel to a jungle retreat. Yet it is these during these plant diets that the curanderos believe the teachings come and these diets allow the Ayahuasca to work deeper. By being guided through an Ayahuasca journey, both you and sometimes the facilitators will be able recognize patterns inside your body, psyche and soul and in this way have the awareness to transform.
So, in the context of dieta, ayahuasca allows understanding and strengthening connection with the plant being dieted. All elements work here in synchrony - dedication to a master plant dieta, the profound effects of the psychoactive Ayahuasca tea, and skillful guidance from teachers. Therefore, this approach delivers an experience much stronger and much more effective than just drinking ayahuasca for curiosity.
Usually Ayahuasca taken during the master plant dieta works stronger because of proper preparation. Serious practitioners, having the foundation of fasting, silence, and isolation, can dive deeper. Ayahuasca rewards those that express patience, humility and commitment.
